Avolo

AVOLO, created in 2012 and co-written with the Brest rock group Electric Bazar Cie, from the Le Machin à Coudre association, Xav To Yilo, a duo of dancers from the region of Morlaix and supported by the collective Les Actifs Toxiques. This musical and ambulatory show was a great human adventure (17 artists on stage) within a marquee transformed into an imaginary ship: the Avolo, an old cargo ship dragging its rust through all the ports of the world.

From South America to the Balkans, from Piraeus to the port of Le Havre, neither sirens nor storms managed to stop the pitching of the machinos' ball.

Spectators were invited to share the vagueness in the soul of the lost sailor, to be intoxicated with the sounds, rhythms, dances and images offered by these random stops.

MACROKOZH’NE

The show MacroKozhN’e, also co-written in 2012 by four artists, including two members of Les Oeils, was about music, poetry and multimedia performance. It mixed traditional Breton singing, rap, electro-acoustic music and video-mapping under our 13 m geodesic dome, built for the occasion. Century-old recordings have become the basis of contemporary creation, immersing spectators in a visual and musical universe mixing eras.
